Tonight (5 Dec), Keshcarrigan’s Eleanor Shanley will grace the stage of The Dock Arts Centre for an intimate solo performance.
Also tonight, Austin Stronge will be giving a festive Christmas Flower Demonstration in The Glens Centre in Manorhamilton. On Saturday night in The Glens Centre, multi-instrumentalist Girish Paul will put on a spectacular live tribute concert to Pink Floyd. Treasa Nealon tells us more.
The silence will be lifted on suicide this Monday (9 Dec) in Ballinamore Seán O’Heslin’s GAA clubhouse. Anne Lynch, Suicide Bereavement Liason Officer for Leitrim and Sligo, tells us about the information event.
After the release of their new album in July, a multi-award winning trad trio are visiting The Dock. Leonard Barry, Declan Folan and Shane McGowan take to the stage to give us a taste of their extensive traditional music repertoire. Leonard Barry joins Órla on the episode.
Breifne Earley from Leitrim Daily is running an ‘Introduction to Podcasting’ training course over the weekend (7 & 8 Dec) where you will get the opportunity to learn all about the podcasting medium and make your very own show. Carrick on Shannon Rowing Club are to host the annual Head of the Shannon this Saturday (7 Dec). This will be the last competitive event for crews nationally. The races consist of two time-trials of 3500m.
