Niall Morahan, Ray McBrien & Karl Foley – Sports Preview: Episode 210

After a few weeks of local club action we have our first national competition returning with the SSE Airtricity League. Niall Morahan of Sligo Rovers joins us to discuss today’s restart. Karl Foley of Annaduff talks us about the Intermediate Football Championship and we’re chatting Ladies Football with Ray McBrien of county championships St. Josephs.

Ahead of their opening game with Derry City in The Brandywell this evening, Sligo Rovers’ Niall Morahan (3:01) is discussing new signing’s, fundraising, streaming, the relegation battle ahead and even some football. The game kicks off at 5:45pm.

The new service will allow supporters to watch all games live online with production and commentary by RTE. €5 per game, or €55 for the entire season (€69 overseas).

We look at the weekend’s sporting action in the Connacht Gold Senior Football Championship (16:00) & Smith Monumentals Intermediate Football Championship (18:27) previewing the fixtures to be played on Saturday evening.

Annaduff Manager Karl Foley (20:21) joins us to chat about how their Intermediate Championship campaign has gone so far, their opening two victories and their chances of going further than last year’s semi final appearance.

The Ladies Football Championship (31:48) continues with the second round of games at Senior, Intermediate and Junior level on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. Sean O’Heslins travel to Carrigallen to play Champions St. Joseph’s. We catch up with Ray McBrien (32:38), the manager of St. Joseph’s ahead of their top of the table clash.
