Episode 93: Sports Preview

Ladies Champions St. Joseph’s have top billing this week as they entertain near neighbours Kilglass Gaels in the Connacht Intermediate Football Championship Semi Final. Bronagh O’Rourke joins Breifne to discuss their provincial campaign so far.

We also find out more about the revival of an adult team in Carrick Town FC with Patrick Whitton dropping in to chat about the main players behind getting a team back up and running in the county town and how they’ve been adjusting to live in the Sligo Leitrim League.

Michelle Maguire, who is the Social Inclusion and Disability Officer for Leitrim Sports Partnership also explains all about how clubs and schools can accommodate disabled people into their day to day activities through adaptations. She chats about their new Swim 4 All programme starting next week, the Boccia league in the county and the Sports Inclusion training day later this month and loads more programmes run by the partnership to provide opportunities for all members of the community.
