Episode 21: Sports Sunday – Terence Boyle, Carrick Rowing & Kiltubrid GAA

This week Breifne chats to the Chairman of Leitrim GAA, Terence Boyle, about the year so far on the playing pitches with promotion from division 4 of the league for the county footballers and the championship successes of the hurling sides at senior and U17 level.

They also take a look back over the club season so far and the major outcomes of the league programme so far including the confirmation of Aughnasheelin’s relegation from the top flight last night.

Breifne also spoke to Shane Ward after his Glencar/Manor side won out comfortably against a tricky Leitrim Gaels side last night before he caught up with Fergal Meehan and Conor Prior after their Kiltubrid side collected the honours in Division 4 of the league this afternoon in Carrick on Shannon.

Carrick Rowing Club coach Michael O’Rourke brought us up to speed with the numerous successes at the National Rowing Championships last weekend and the selection of Ella Brogan to the Irish team for the upcoming Home Internationals in Scotland.
