Episode 64: Faces & Places – Ballinamore Family Festival

Órla McNabola took a trip to Ballinamore Family Festival to speak to some of the organisers of the week long party on the streets of Ballinamore, catching up with Tommy Moran about the history of the festival, Mary McGirl about the planning and running of the event.

Dawn McKeon shares her experiences over the years while entertaining the crowds as MC on the street for the Ninja Warrior competition and Aughawillan man Jason Prior is delighted to have won the Ninja Warrior competition along the main street of the town with his Aughawillan GAA team mates.

Tom Burns, chairman of the hall committee, outlines the plans for the new Island Theatre which will occupy the current hall after redevelopment.

Órla also chats to Michelle O’Donnell about her 50 First’s by Shelly set of challenges to spend her 50th year trying fifty brand new experiences.
