Episode 30: Rooskey Heritage Festival
Last week Rooskey Heritage Festival was the centre of attention with fantastic entertainment for all ages scattered around the village on both sides of the Shannon.
From the heritage boats moored at the quay to the kayaking, boat trips and races held on the water to the rock climbing wall on the shore. Buskers dotted along the streets between the craft fair at the old factory, the gig rig set up outside the post office and the festival marquee and kids zone at the back of the community centre.
Music, drama and other entertainment kept the hundreds of people attending occupied and we went along to meet some of the locals enjoying themselves along the river.
