This week for Faces & Places Breifne takes a look behind the scenes at the recent Leitrim GAA County Finals.
While thousands of us enjoyed the fare served up by Glencar / Manor, Sean O’Heslins, Leitrim Gaels and Drumkeerin recently but spare a thought for the army of volunteers who work tirelessly and endlessly behind the scenes to make sure the day runs smoothly.
We catch up with volunteers Cian Glancy, Michael Doherty & Sean Murray about their roles on the day.
Ocean FM’s John Lynch shares his experience of covering many county finals over the last 23 years. County Board PRO Declan Bohan talks about the process of putting the match programme together and the team who gather the content together.
Leitrim GAA Chairman Terence Boyle talks about his favourite experience of the last five years of county finals particularly the honour of presenting a championship trophy to his own club Aughnasheelin in 2017.
