Flynn’s Corner House

Flynns Bar in Carrick on Shannon is steeped in history. Standing tall and majestic on the corner of Bridge street and Main street, Flynns Bar has been a regular watering hole to both locals and tourists for many decades. Like the Costello Chapel the curiosity of this corner house invites you in and traps you with is modern yet traditional charm, unrivalled hospitality, it’s vast range of world Gins and tonics all dispensed in majestic glasses, Irish craft beers all topped with an eclectic mix of Irish whiskeys and quality draft offerings .
Due to its cosy and traditional feel this pub always evokes atmosphere. With a vibrant local day trade where story’s and local fables are shared and debated under the guardianship of the matron of the house Eimear, this pub gives back more than it asks of you. Customers can relax with a beautifully presented Gin and Tonic under the glaze of amber soft lighting and modern comfortable surrounds. Customers are made feel they are part of something special once the evening trad sessions take over or some local artist takes to softly strumming out some ballads and tunes. Meticulously kept, spotlessly clean and always warm and cosy customers are coming back to this iconic bar in droves and are likely to do so for a long time to come, hopefully as longs as Mary and Edward Costello who have been resting next door since 1879.
